Apparently the Kickstarter for "Conan Rise of the Monsters" will be relaunched this year. it's pretty much a Conan skirmish game, so maybe you want to wait and take a look before doing your own.

For those of you needing a proxy, I suggest this "Filth Beast" from Reaper Miniatures (Bones line). It's not as cool as Thog, but it fits the role good enough.

Going back to the scenario at hand, here you are some proxy miniatures which may work as the elite guards of the Mountain of Power: The idea of making a campaing with different scenarios and different endings could be fun! But fot the moment let's keep it small, doing one scenario at a time.

Great start with the scenario, I'm impressed! Maybe the standing stones can be drawn on the map, rather than using papercraft. I've played some scenarios using trees and they obstruct the game a bit. Of course, papercraft would be an option for those players wanting a more impressionant board, and I have found some pretyy useful free 3D models on Thingiverse: Maybe the scenario could begun when the enemies are dismounted and close-combar begins. This would lower the miniature number needed and make it lighter regarding rules (no mounted warriors). Or something in-between (only a few enemies mounted, most of them on foot). Also, if we are true to the films, we don't need a Thulsa Doom miniature. He will be a special event (crow card) staying in the background, shooting his serpent arrows.

No worries, I already have pictures to make all the cards I mentioned in my last post, just need help with the names. Your map is a nice start! Maybe it's time we open a different thread for the whole project, to discuss maps, scenarios and miniatures and keep this one just for equipment. I think we can't ask anybody wanting to play the movie scenarios we are going to create to make conversions in order to use them. The guards alone would be 10-15 miniatures and I'm sure some people around here are not into miniatures so much to make conversions. Also, getting all the right spare parts could be time-consuming and not that cheap. I think is better to make our own.

Regarding the cost of producing resin-printed miniatures, I think is much lower. Maybe your friend was speaking about getting a mould done for plastic production, which would be more expensive. We only need a 3D modeller making the stl file and then the cost of printing which is fairly low. @Florentin I knew about the Conan by Boris Woloszyn but Sigyl Forge is new for me. I agree is better (and cheaper) to use available miniatures, but the thing is they need to be accurate to the movie, otherwise the feeling will be lost. There are many that could be used but only those you have posted are really accurate. Regarding price of producing our own miniatures, I have yet to contact sculptors, but there are many, so I guess there would be a wide range of fees. Glad you like it, Florentin! It seems we think alike I'll make a couple items from the 2nd movie next. Then I think I'll give it a try to the arrow-snake spell Thulsa Doom uses to try to kill the Princess. I got a resin printer and I'm seriously thinking about comissioning some miniature designs to profesional 3D artists. A tile without a matching miniature doesn't have much use. Only thing left would be maps. I'm afraid doing maps is beyond my skill.

This feels like a group of friends speaking about a game they love and enjoy, rather than just another company forum. I wish I could meet you guys in Paris, have fun!

Thanks for the comments. I like the idea of the medalion granting access to some spells, but that should be scenario-specific I think. Sorry for not posting anything this weekend, I have been kind of busy.
